How would you picture your last breath in fashion?

If you can pick your own death how would you want to die? I hate to talk about death but earlier today it was on my mind. If I had to pick a way to go, it would be the way that Zelda Kaplan did. The death of the much-loved socialite during New York fashion week proved a fitting exit for the 95-year old who tired of neither fashion nor campaigning. Zelda Kaplan was known for her signature African prints and amazing worldwide campaigning for women's rights. She died on February 15th sitting front row at a Joanna Mastroianni show during NYFW. She was sitting in her seat when she collasped a few minutes into the show. She was pronounced dead at Roosevelt Hospital. Her death isnt something that one should smile about, but when I think about  how she died it kind of makes me smile. She died in the presence of something she loved surrounded by people who shared that same feeling. She left with grace and to my understanding, with no suffering. Zelda wasnt afraid of being old and she often wished that others would embrace old age. She knew her time would come so she made it her business to enjoy every inch of life that was granted to her. Like I stated before, I dont like thinking, talking or hearing about death, but if I had to pick a way to say my final goodbye...it would be the Zelda Kaplan way :) xoxo
