I set my alarm and watched in awe.
Karl Lagerfeld and his team transformed the Grand Palais into a giant supermarket fully stocked with all things Chanel for his A/W 2014 show during Paris Fashion Week. Models walked around pushing Chanel shopping carts, carrying shopping baskets made of Chanel chains , and causally browsed the supermarket shelves as if it were just a typical day at the market. It was one hell of a creative show. Very intriguing and very genius, much like Karl himself.
What I got from this show was that you should never leave the house looking anything less than fabulous. No matter where you are going. There should be no excuse for a lack of style and/or sophistication. Every model played the role of everyday supermarket shoppers, but they all told a different short story. Something that made you create unique personal lives in each and every character.
The clothes as well as the shoes were all created with the unique craftsmanship, luxuriousness, and elegance, that only the Chanel brand can represent.
Everyone's favorite little sister was even in the show! 18 year old Kendall Jenner has been spotted on the runways of all the major shows this year, and she has rocked every last one!
The king himself ended the show in his signature all black and Cara Delevingne by his side.
This show was simply amazing and it was one that only Karl can pull off. I'm already anxiously anticipating next year's show. I'm not a fan of grocery shopping but I know that every time I go to the market, I will always picture this scene and as I checkout I will always hear Karl in my head ending the show saying "Thank you..come again."
