The Oscars 2014

Where do I even begin?
Last night was magical, inspiring and all around fabulous.
With Ellen as the host there was no doubt that the Oscars was going to be something huge. She did an outstanding job hosting such an important night. Like always she made the people who were glued to their televisions feel like they were right there in the audience with everyone else. It was amazing to watch. So many of the stars came out and contributed to the magical night with their gorgeous ensembles. I'm not sure how I did it, but I managed to narrow down my top looks of the night.

Kim Kardashian attended Elton John's pre Oscar party in this beautiful red Celia Kritharioti gown. She kept it calm yet glam with very little jewelry, a bold red lip and lashes that popped! She looked amazing last night. And I love the fact that she didn't wear any flashy accessories. It would've looked too much like prom and completely taken away from how beautiful the gown is. She's Stunning! Great job Kiki!!

Another simple beauty. Mathew McConaughey's wife Camilla Alves graced the red carpet in this gorgeous pale pink Dolce & Gabbana dress. The two of them together are a really beautiful couple, but she has as you can see she stands well on her own. I love this dress on her and I love that there is no room to overly accessorize. Less is so much more!

My Girl Kate Hudson! I absolutely adore her! She's a friend of mine in my head lol. She rocked an exquisite Atelier Versace dress that made my heart skip a beat. She looks every bit of old Hollywood glam and I couldn't have asked for anything more from her. There are no words left. She rocked it!

Charlize Theron showed up in gorgeous black Dior dress. I love the structure of this gown and I feel like it's so her. Like I don't think it would've worked this well on anyone else!

SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST.

This has been one hell of year for this beautiful women right here. Lupita N'yongo showed up in a custom powder blue Prada dress and looked like a dream. Her inside beauty just radiates and shines so bright on the outside. When I saw her on the red carpet I let out such a sigh, as if I've never seen anything more beautiful. I was so happy for her when she won her Oscar. Her speech really made me tear up. I am so proud of her, her accomplishments, and all that she stands for. Every time I watch one of her interviews or hear her name I hear a new door opening for people of color. I hear endless opportunities. I cant wait to see the doors open up for her and other actors/actresses of color.
This is still only the beginning!
